At the international consumer electronics exhibition IFA 2025, Samsung Electronics presented the Smart Modular Home concept — an integrated solution for organizing a new format of living space using artificial intelligence technologies.
The concept combines AI functions, home appliances, energy-efficient heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, as well as centralized control through the SmartThings and SmartThings Pro platforms. All components operate within a single ecosystem, which provides a comprehensive approach to creating modern housing. The presentation of Smart Modular Home took place at IFA 2025. The company also announced plans to bring the solution to the global B2B market.

With the 3D Map View, you can monitor and control all the appliances in your home that are on or off. |
Upon entering a room equipped with the Smart Modular Home system, guests are greeted by a wall panel with a 3D map of the house (3D Map View) in the SmartThings application.
The screen displays the status of household appliances throughout the home in real time, allowing users to monitor their devices and customize them to their individual needs. The system is complemented by an intelligent CCTV camera and a smart door lock, providing convenient and secure access to the home.

When you return home, SmartThings automatically adjusts the lighting and air temperature. |
Visitors to the stand notice the intelligent capabilities of the Smart Modular Home as soon as they enter the kitchen from the hallway. Linked to a smart door lock, the SmartThings system detects the presence of a person, automatically turns on the lights and smoothly opens the curtains. The robot vacuum cleaner completes the cleaning cycle and returns to the charging station, and the air conditioner sets the room to a comfortable temperature.
Smart energy consumption

SmartThings Energy allows you to create a schedule and charge your appliances at the best time for you. |
With all appliances connected to the SmartThings ecosystem, it is easier to control energy consumption. The SmartThings Energy app on your smartphone provides data on current energy use and a forecast of monthly consumption. With Optimal Scheduling, the washing machine and dishwasher operate outside peak power consumption hours, and the robot vacuum cleaner partially charges during the day, completing a full charge at night when electricity is cheaper.

With the heat pump (EHS), you can easily control underfloor heating, air cooling, and hot water in your Smart Modular Home. |
The energy efficiency of the Smart Modular Home is ensured by heat pumps (EHS) developed specifically for this system. In the future, users will have access to the SmartThings Pro platform, which will allow centralized control of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, which will make operation even more convenient.
A home that turns into a gaming space
Just launch Game Mode in the SmartThings app, and it turns the room into an ideal space for games, turning off the main lights and closing the curtains. LED lighting synchronizes with the visual effects and rhythm of the game, and the air conditioner maintains a comfortable temperature. Thus, the room turns into an immersive space for gaming, and the home - into a place that gives bright emotions that go beyond routine tasks.
By introducing innovative solutions into Smart Modular Home, Samsung opens up new possibilities for users to organize living spaces with artificial intelligence.
