Sustainability at every step. This project was conceived with a focus on full-circle sustainability. The concept centers on prefabricated wooden modules built by local craftsmen, leveraging their skills and techniques to save both time and cost. By relying on a single material—wood—the construction remains clean, efficient, and quick to assemble, as each component arrives pre-made for easy on-site installation.
The system includes three module types: a suite, a kitchen unit, and a free module that can serve as a living room, terrace, or an extension of the others. Each module measures 32 m² (4 x 8 m) and is built on round eucalyptus pillars that support beams, rafters, and autoclaved pine slats.
The side walls feature double layers of 20 cm-wide autoclaved pine boards, creating space for plumbing, electrical systems, and both thermal and acoustic insulation. The front façade consists entirely of timber frames and glass, while the rear is fitted with adjustable louvers for natural cross-ventilation. A roof of autoclaved pine shingles with generous overhangs shields the modules from direct sunlight.
Raised flooring keeps the structure off the ground, preserving soil permeability and providing a technical space for utilities and equipment. Even the furnishings—kitchen, cabinets, and side tables—were crafted from leftover wood from the construction process.
With renewable wood as its primary building material, the project minimizes environmental impact while delivering a warm, natural living environment.
