About Nokken
Nokken came about from a simple idea - If more and more people are looking to live in a natural environment, then it makes perfect sense that people will want to holiday within one too.
Having come from a hospitality architecture and design background, Nathan & James - Nokken’s founders utilised their architectural skill-sets in this field and thus created a product purely for this need.
Welcome to Nokken, what we believe are the most efficient, flexible, modular cabins in the world. Designed for people to love, enjoy, create memories and holiday within. And by coincidence they make pretty awesome homes and workspaces too!
Being focused on these cabin products sitting within a natural, non-urban location it makes sense that they have established a dynamic connection to the environment and therefore harmony with it.
Within a Nokken cabin you can witness the seasons and weather whilst working, sleeping and living.
It represents the emotion from camping as a child, the pure simplicity of participating in nature rather than just being a witness. Fully immersed amongst the stars at night, the sunrise in the morning, the birds call at daybreak, the smell of dew on grass or evening light falling through the trees.
These cabins provide the opportunity to be connected to nature, sleep in a safe beautiful environment and do so practically anywhere in the world.
Designed to experience nature like never before.
Nokken is a truly European company; Architecturally formed in England, styled in Denmark, engineered in Germany and manufactured in Latvia and Portugal. From Autumn 2022 we will also have an outpost in North America and will be able to supply to both the United States and Canada. Our cabins can be shipped whole as true modular forms or on special request panellised for self construction. This allows the possibility for installation in remote locations, on islands or other countries.
The cabins are engineered with CLT frame structures utilising modern building techniques. As with all natural products, they require care and maintenance, however with the appropriate love will go on to last a lifetime.
The cabins are designed with a hospitality setting in mind and as such inhibit low maintenance combined with beautiful, natural and sustainable materials. Elements such as the Larch and Metal external cladding will age gracefully over time.
Nokken fully complies with all main European regulations for travel, retreat and hospitality accommodation and has been designed with both European and North American certification in mind. Local regulations should always be reviewed and confirmed by the client. Any orders placed are subject to any regulatory certification being confirmed prior to delivery.
Our cabins offer a Standard 5 year warranty on structural defects, alongside a 2 year warranty on fixed component parts.

About Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG)
The escalating complexity of the world and the accelerating speed of change exceed any individual’s capacity to comprehend. For architects operating today, the Golden Ratio is no longer the standard - rather, the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals are. From a single elegant equation, architects are now held to multidimensional success criteria with almost infinite variables.
Since sustainability is inherently a question of complex systems, circular design, and holistic thinking, no single person holds the solution. As architects and urbanists, we must team with scientists, engineers with biologists, politicians with entrepreneurs, to combine skill sets and perspectives, knowledge and sensibility, to match the complexity of the challenges we face. As future formgivers, we won’t be defined by our individual talents or singular skill sets - but rather by our capacity to pool the skills of the many to give our future form.
BIG has grown organically over the last two decades from a founder, to a family, to a force of 700. Our latest transformation is the BIG LEAP: Bjarke Ingels Group of Landscape, Engineering, Architecture, Planning and Products. A plethora of in-house perspectives allows us to see what none of us would be able to see on our own. The sum of our individual talents becomes our collective creative genius. A small step for each of us becomes a BIG LEAP for all of us.
